  My experience has shown me the danger of having a large mega church that revolves around any one minister who typically becomes more of the story than the message of the gospel. While no church should revolve or be dependent on any one minister the Foundations church is unique among large and growing congregations. Pastor Carl, their senior pastor is a modest and humble leader who empowers those in leadership positions within his congregation. Pastor Carl does not preach at his flock anymore than he preaches to himself, rather he shares from his own personal struggles how the message of the cross can take you from failure and pain to a life with meaning and purpose where little victories can be felt on a day to day basis. He doesn't promise an easy life or personal wealth but a life redeemed in the love of Christ where daily struggles are overcome by a personal walk with Jesus Christ.
  
  I am the son of a minister and I attended seminary and I can tell you that the persopnal and authentic preaching of Pastor Carl is among the best I have ever heard. I have downloaded his messages and listened to them as I have travel around the world and recently I had the honnor and privilege to personally attend a serrvice at Foundations.
  
  As I sat in the chair waiting for the service to begin a mother with two small children sat down in front of me. It was obvious that she was a single Mom so I spoke to her saying "I see you have your hands full, have you been attending here long?" She then told me that her husband had left her and she said she had been attending for about a year and if it hadn't been for Pastor Carl she said "I don't think I would have made it, he calls me weekly to see how I am doing and if I need anything"
  
  In the end isn't that what a church should be about? A church is a hospital for those that are hurting and for the hope for a new life in Christ.
  
  My only regret is that I live on the other side of the country as I truly wish I could attend and be part of this very special congregation.
  
  If you truly want to be a part of a caring and real body of believers this is place to make your church home!

  The presence of our lord Jesus is palpable. Even though it's a large church it certainly doesn't feel like it. This church is like none of the ones I've been to in my life. They are spreading love in a lost and broken world. No matter what, you're welcomed with open arms. If you don't like organized religion but want a true relationship with Christ, I urge you to attend one of the services. Everyone is welcome no matter your lifestyle, beliefs, political ideals, etc. Just go!!
